Harry Potter's on our side

"I'm an atheist, but I'm very relaxed about it. I don't preach my atheism, but I have a huge amount of respect for people like Richard Dawkins who do. Anything he does on television, I will watch."
Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe
(found via Liberal Values)

Ever notice that in the whole of the seven-volume Harry Potter series, there's not a single reference to God or religion at all?

Update: At least he's not one of those militant atheists.

I'd never been one of the cool kids [but] you realise that all the kids who were really cool at your school were actually scuzzy and horrible and boring. The nerds are the ones that make the films and do loads of other really cool stuff in their life says our Daniel Radcliffe in this article.

I agree, looking back at my classmates in school & also university. All those "cool" kids are now big "loosers". The so-called "nerds" or "pretentious group" (like me) are having a successful and wonderful life.

Thanks for this link.

Yes, the "cool crowd" do tend to be rather Slytherin-like, don't they.....

Somebody once said that "nerd" is just what morons call geniuses.

As an agnostic, I'm not much for militant anything...atheists or theists. Seem pretty much the same to me.
